FOR ADOPTION: UMBREON is a confident and social approximately 1 year old male looking for a family to shower him with affection. This adorable young guy is super personable and cuddly with people of all ages and will happily be a family cat. Umbreon comes to us from a home with many other cats and he is well
socialized with other cats of all ages. He has had little exposure to dogs but has been open to meeting calm and friendly ones. Umbreon is just as fun, playful and adventurous as he is sweet and cuddly. He is a wonderful well rounded young cat that is going to fit in well with most family dynamics. Umbreon was indoor/outdoor in his previous home and could continue in that fashion in a safe environment or he could be very happy indoor only. Additional adoption info

All animals are vet checked before adoption. This usually includes deworming, revolution (for mites and fleas) and vaccinations. Adult animals are all spayed or neutered before adoption and all puppies/kittens are required to be spayed or neutered as soon as they are old enough. Potential adopters must be willing to travel to Smithers to pick up their new pet.

To apply for a pet please complete an adoption application online (www.nwas.ca) or download and return it to NWAS by email (info@nwas.ca) or mail (Box 3064, Smithers, BC, V0J 2N0) if your application is approved we will then set up a meeting.

Fees: ADULT DOGS $200, PUPPIES $100 + a $75 deposit towards spay/neuter (local adoptions) ADULT CATS $75 KITTENS $50 plus a $25 deposit towards spay/neuter (local adoptions)

More about this rescue

We are a very small volunteer group that is passionate about helping animals in need.

In addition to rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing pets in need we:
Run a Spay and Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP): We work with Babine Pet Hospital and BV Vet Clinic to provide financial help to individuals and families who cannot afford the full cost of spaying or neutering their pets
Spay and Neuter Education
Humane Animal Education and visits to local schools
Pet health care counselling; training referrals
Complimentary lost and found postings on our website and Facebook page
Provide free feral mousers to responsible farmers upon request
