Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Chop Chop!
This fun-sized friend is around 1 and a half years old. He's neutered, up to date on vaccines, and that makes him completely ready for adoption! Chop Chop can be cautious and show stranger danger towards new people, especially in large groups. He does much better meeting people one-on-one, and it takes some time before he can fully trust someone new. Once you're in his circle of trust, Chop Chop can be incredibly affectionate. He's small enough to be held and actually enjoys being picked up by those closest to him. When he's feeling affectionate, Chop Chop will sit beside you, climb in your lap, or even ask to be held.
The main thing that Chop Chop needs is a calm and quiet forever home. He would do best in an environment without children, and with few people coming and going. We aren't sure how Chop Chop does around cats or other dogs. We do require all dogs to meet any canines in the home prior to adoption, and offer a seven-day foster period with each adoption to help ensure a good fit (this can be extended if needed).
Chop Chop is a very loyal dog. Once he knows you, he finds comfort just being in your presence. Whether he's sitting in your lap, napping in your arms, or just sharing the couch with you, Chop Chop is content with his people by his side. If he wants personal space, he's good about letting you know. Chop Chop is also super playful! Being a young pup under 2 years old, he has plenty of energy to burn and loves getting to chase tennis balls. He would appreciate an owner who can exercise him daily.
Chop Chop is a happy camper here at the shelter, but we know it'll take some time for him to completely adjust in his new home. If you are interested in getting to know Chop Chop, please stop by HSoP between 2:00-5:00pm Monday through Saturday. We're located at 2019 E White Ave Moscow, ID 83843.
