Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Blade, a charming 6-year-old pit bull mix who is on the lookout for a new forever family. This handsome fella recently completed a two-week obedience training program with Sound Mind K9, where he mastered his leash manners, recall skills, and basic commands like sit, place, down, etc. His new owner will receive a free lesson with Sound Mind K9 in Weatherford, Texas to go over his commands.
Blade gets along great with both big and small dogs, as well as children. However, he hasn't had the pleasure of meeting any feline friends just yet. This playful pup has a penchant for toys over treats, but he won't turn down a snack either. Blade is neutered, is up to date on his vaccines, and is heartworm-negative. And don't worry about that adorable chipmunk cheek - it's just a harmless fat pad. He developed it many years ago and did have one attempted removal, but it did regrow. Vet records can be provided on this, but it is just cosmetic.
If you're in the market for a lovable, playful, and oh-so-cute companion, look no further than Blade. He's ready to steal your heart and become the newest member of your family in no time! Blade would excel in a home with an active owner who is committed to furthering his training and keeping him engaged.
Blade is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.

Adopting from The Love Pit means gaining a family member. It means gaining a network of pit bull advocates, ready to support you and provide you with all of the resources we can. Most importantly, adopting from The Love Pit saves lives. When you adopt, you're saving the life of your own dog, opening space in their foster home for another shelter dog in need, and creating space in the shelter kennel for a dog whose life would have otherwise been on the line. Your thanks for all the good you've done? Lots of love and pit bull kisses to enjoy for years to come.
