My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the magnificent Moon Child!

Do you want a dog who will make you feel like the most important person in the universe??? Moonchild, aka "Moonie", is a super affectionate and loyal lady who just wants to snuggle and be by your side. After moving to her foster home, she was immediately very comfortable with being handled and kissed, and is a big fan of belly rubs!

She's no puppy, but she still loves to play and run around - all with the maturity of an adult dog! Moonchild is house trained, naps quietly at home, sleeps through the night, is not destructive inside or outdoors, and only chews on toys. She also doesn't mind getting her paws wiped - a major bonus in rainy Seattle! While in her foster home, Moonchild greets guests excitedly. On walks, she does not pull and does not react when she sees bunnies and squirrels. Moonchild also enjoys being in the car, so she's ready to join you on some adventures!

Though she will probably get obsessed with you, she doesn't seem to have separation anxiety. Even better, she is crate trained and goes into her crate without issue. Just be prepared for her to do a major happy dance when you return home!

Moonchild would be great for anyone who doesn't want a high-energy dog that needs a lot of exercise, or anyone who is looking for a very chill and loyal companion who will be thrilled to cuddle on the couch. She's a big baby that is looking for someone to love!

Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.

** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. We appreciate your understanding and patience. **
