Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.
Do you want a dog who will be all about YOU??? Moonchild, aka “Moony”, is a super loyal lady who just wants to snuggle and be by your side. After moving to her foster home, she was immediately very comfortable with being handled and kissed, and is a big fan of belly rubs!
She`s no puppy, but she is still playful and excited to do things with you! Moonchild is crate-trained, housebroken, naps quietly at home, sleeps through the night, and is not destructive inside or outdoors. She also doesn’t mind getting her paws wiped—a major bonus in rainy Seattle! Moonchild gets excited to be in the car, so she’s ready to join you on some adventures!
Moonchild is reactive to dogs if they get in her space, but is mostly unaffected when they`re on the other side of the street. On walks, she does not pull and does not usually react when she sees bunnies and squirrels.
Moonchild loves her people and doesn`t have eyes for anyone else—she would do best in a home that doesn`t get a lot of frequent visitors. If you have a quiet lifestyle and are looking for a loyal companion to snuggle with on the couch, Moonchild is your girl!
Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.
** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. We appreciate your understanding and patience. **
