Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi. My name is Treasure and I’m here with Jewel, my mom and best friend. I want to tell you a little about us so you can figure out if we’re the cats you want to share your life with. That’s “cats,” plural, because we are so closely bonded we will be going to our forever home together. We agreed that I’d tell you our story. Once upon a time, we were dumped together in the woods. The neighbors of the woods worried about us because coyotes and other animals dangerous to small kitties like us also lived there. So the whole neighborhood rescued us! (We only later found out about the coyotes. Whew! Were we lucky!) Now we live in a foster home with three cats, a dog, and some people, older and younger. Our foster mom says we get along fine with them all, although we are still trying to figure out exactly what kind of animal the dog is. Our foster mom thinks we`re great, and she says, “These girls are very petite, sweet, bonded kitties with very bright green/brown eyes. They like to cuddle with each other and with people. They both love to roll onto their backs to get pets on their bellies.” We also enjoy sitting together, cleaning each other and being brushed. And we’re both curious and love to explore. Even though we’re close, we have our own personalities. Like I love toys and Jewel likes to hide sometimes in the cat tree, waiting for a human to come by to pet her. I love my mom so much and she loves me, but we have room in our hearts for other creatures, like humans, too. Of course, there’s more to know about us. Why not come visit to meet us in person? Please fill out an adoption application at this website—Https://animalalliesrescue.org/cat-application —and choose us, Jewel and Treasure! Our combined adoption fee for both of us is $250 and AARF wants me to tell you that their adoption package covers all expenses needed to prepare kitties like us for our forever homes. By the time we meet, we’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. We’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on age-appropriate immunizations against rabies and FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus & panleukopenia). Some of us have had extensive surgeries, dental work, or other necessary procedures. AARF is committed to getting all of us entirely ready for a happy, healthy, love-filled life!

Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet from Animal Allies Rescue Foundation (AARF). At the heart of our work is ensuring that each AARFie is matched with a family that is going to be their forever family. The application process is the first step in helping us understand you, your home, and factors that may help us determine if this pet is a great match for you — or, help you find a fit that will be. Please complete all the information in our species specific adoption applications; missing information may delay the adoption screening process.
Please note:
AARF only adopts pets to people in the Baltimore/DC metro region. In certain circumstances, we will consider homes in closer areas Pennsylvania, Delaware and Northern Virginia. This is due to the required home visit and long term ability to support the adoption. If you live outside of an hour radius of Baltimore, it is unlikely that your application will be approved.
Completion of the application form does not guarantee AARF will place one of our pets in your care. Many of our animals receive multiple applications, and we evaluate each applicant on fit for the specific animal (not first come first serve).
Completion of the application authorizes AARF to verify any information contained herein, including verification of medical records of any present or prior pets treated by the veterinarians listed.
AARF utilizes Truthfinder, a leading provider of public data about people and their connections to others, to verify certain information provided on foster and adoption applications. Truthfinder does not provide consumer reports and is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
Completion of the adoption application is an indication that the information contained within this application is accurate and not misleading in any way.
All adoptions are at the sole discretion of AARF.
We also remind you that animals are not a short-term commitment, and as such, please give careful consideration to adopting an animal. Make sure your lifestyle allows the time, patience and expenses this animal will need over the years.
