Introducing Terra! Terra is an adorable and friendly cat who may be a bit shy at first, but quickly warms up to new people. While she doesn't like being picked up, she loves snuggling on your lap for hours. If she's not on your lap, she loves lounging on the cat tree, especially when the sun hits it. Terra is a playful cat and her favourite toys are wand toys and those with long strings attached. She also enjoys hanging out on the couch, and she might even cozy up to the dog if there's no one else around. Terra also loves to sleep in bed with you at night. Don’t worry about missing your alarm – as soon as she hears it, she will come to you to ensure you heard it! You’ll never be late for work again! Terra is very food-motivated and loves treats. She also enjoys hanging out in the kitchen, hoping you'll share with her. Playing with water, whether in the sink or tub, is also one of her favourite pastimes, whether she gets wet or not! Terra does well with dogs and, with a slow and proper introduction, she could get along with another cat, although it might take some time for her to warm up. If there are no other pets at home, she would enjoy having someone around often to keep her company, as she loves attention and human interaction. Terra is also good with kids!
Terra was found living outside with a homeless person. Unfortunately, she was not receiving the care she deserved and had several wounds when she came to us. Her wounds have healed, but sadly, it was discovered that Terra has a Grade 4 heart murmur. The cardiologist advised that, although she does require a daily pill that she takes easily, she is expected to have a normal life span.
Terra is a loving, gentle girl who will make a great addition to the perfect family looking for an affectionate cat who wants nothing more than love and affection in return. And of course, someone who will love her, heart murmur and all!

Meet & greets are either in person with the foster and cat or virtual, at the discretion of the foster.

We also conduct vet checks for all applicants. Due to Covid we are not doing home visits at this time. We are very diligent in our screening of potential adopters. Applications are approved based on best fit for the cat, not first come, first served.

We are currently in the adoption centre at PetSmart Etobicoke, where we have a limited number of cats and kittens. All of our available cats can be viewed on our website.

Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a Registered Canadian Charity, that is 100% volunteer driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.
We provide medical care, emotional support and a loving environment while preparing them to find their forever homes. With no physical location, all of our cats and kittens reside in loving foster homes across the Greater Toronto Area until they are ready for adoption.
We receive no government funding and rely solely on adoption fees, donations and our fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. We believe there is a home for every cat and a cat for every home.
