Leah is available for adoption.

The shelter estimated she is 9 years old (they are never right) but she acts much younger and weighs 6 pounds.

Her adoption fee is $350.00.

Leah is ready for adoption, she had her spay and dental last Monday. She lost two teeth - not too bad if she is nine years old (we do not think so). She came through it all like a champion and you’d never know she had surgery. Keeping her quiet and confined was a real challenge. She’s doing great and is still a chow hound. She’s definitely a Velcro dog and does not like me looking at my phone for any length of time. She’ll pop her head in front of the phone or I get pawed at until she gets my attention on her. She is getting possessive of a toy she may have and I’m trying to break her of that She’s a delightful happy little gal and will be a total love bug with whoever is lucky enough to adopt her.

Leah is staying with Vera in Pittsburgh, PA.

Additional adoption info

1. Fill out an adoption application on our website.
2. We contact the adopter for an interview.
3. We REQUIRE a home visit.
4. Our adoption donation is usually $250 to $500 for a dog but may be more if the dog is very young.
5. There is a legal contract that must be signed. The Yorkie can never be sold, given away or dropped at a shelter. We ALWAYS want our Yorkie back.

We are Yorkshire Terrier rescue. We help people find the Yorkie they have been looking for and we help the people who have a Yorkie they cannot keep. We work in PA, NJ, WESTERN NY, DE, MD and sometimes other states as necessary. Yorkies are our passion - the big ones, the old ones, the sick ones. The Yorkies no one else will take.
