My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cocoa and Marshmallow
Cocoa: DMH, Born in May 2024, Black, Male
Marshmallow: DMH, Born in May 2024, Black and White Tuxedo, Male

We've got one question for you, 'Who doesn't like hot cocoa with marshmallows?' Let us introduce ourselves, we are Cocoa and Marshmallow and we don't mind telling you that we are like warm hugs in a cup, and will melt your heart one sip at a time.

Things to know about us: We are purring machines! We have incredibly loud purrs that can turn any frown upside down. We are forever playmates. We adore playing with wand toys, anything that you can dangle, and toys we can chase. Watching us play together is pure entertainment. We are lap lovers. Too wiggly for being held too long but we love to climb in your lap for pets and playtime. Bonus feature - we are dog friendly and get along with our canine foster sibling, a calm 75lb dog, especially Marshmallow who can't get enough of her.

Cocoa is a bit reserved and shy at first, he takes a little time to warm up to new people. But once he trusts you, he is incredibly sweet and affectionate. Cocoa prefers it when you’re sitting down – he finds it less intimidating. Fun Fact - Cocoa has made tremendous progress from being a hissy, scared kitten to a loving, purring machine. Our foster mom says it’s been a joy to watch him come out of his shell!

Marshmallow is more outgoing and brave, always up for making new friends, Marshmallow is the life of the party. He’s goofy and loves to get close – really close! Don’t be surprised if he tries to stick his nose in yours. Fun Fact - Marshmallow has a unique litterbox habit – he lays flat on his tummy to pee. It’s just one of his many quirks that will make you smile.

Like many kittens we aren't purrfect so here's what we are working on: Being Held - We are still getting used to being held, but with a bit more time and patience, we’ll likely become more comfortable. Right now there is just so much to do, so much to see and we have FOMO if we are held too long. Meeting Other Cats - We’ve had some supervised interactions with the resident cats in our foster home, who haven’t been very welcoming. But our foster mom says with a slow introduction, we should do well with friendly cats.

If you want kitten greeters when you enter the room, love laptime for pets like we do, and don't mind being followed around and being asked for attention and playtime, then we are the duo for you. Please come meet us soon!
