Meet Pancake!

Pancake, a 3.5-year-old male Mastiff/Labrador mix, rejoined our family at the shelter on July 1, 2024. He was initially adopted on November 18, 2022, but unfortunately, he was surrendered back to us.

A family tried him out at their farm for a week, but it turns out that Pancake absolutely hates cats. However, he did well with other dogs, horses, chickens, kids, and adults. During this time, we also discovered that Pancake freezes when a training collar is put on him.

Pancake is very afraid and cowers at any unexpected movement or noise. He has been through a lot and needs to relearn that he is in a safe environment. He doesn't like the shelter and is very confused. All Pancake wants is to be right beside you all the time and not be left alone.

We are committed to working with Pancake at the shelter to regain his trust and build his confidence. We will get him to see the vet as soon as possible. Pancake was surrendered in November 2022 and again in July 2024, but neither time was it due to his behavior. He is a sweet dog who just needs a loving and understanding home.

Call 740-934-2693 to make an appointment to visit pets at our shelter! All pets are spayed or neutered and up to date on all shots before leaving our facility. You must fill out an adoption form and be approved. We will need to see a driver license or valid id card with your address.

$150.00 adoption fee for dogs/puppies. All dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on shots and rabies shots, wormed, heartworm and lyme disease tested.

$50.00 adoption fee for cats. All cats are up to date on shots, have been spayed and neutered, and feline leukemia tested.
