For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Buddy was discovered covered in ticks (14 to be exact), emaciated, and matted by a Good Samaritan who searched for his owners to no avail. They got in contact with us and we made room for this special guy at our rescue! Buddy is DEAF but he doesn’t let that stop him!! He loves to use his nose to explore the world around him and still loves to talk to you like your typical husky/malamute mix. 🥰 We also believe he is part Great Pyrenees. He can also feel vibrations and this can be a good way to get his attention.
Buddy has done well with the 3 year old human on the property and every dog he’s met! He does like to use his nose and paws to greet and communicate with new dogs and humans, so if your dog doesn’t like other dogs in their space, Buddy may not be a good fit for your home. He takes correction from other dogs VERY well and he is all around a goofy, even tempered guy! One of our wonderful volunteers has been working with Buddy on learning hand signals and he is very smart! He knows ‘sit, come here’ and is learning other commands as well. He was cat tested and did great! Please contact us if you would like videos of this interaction! He weighs approximately 69 lbs but is a big boy and is expected to be around 90-100 at his ideal weight! The vet believes he is around 2-3 years old.
OUT OF STATE ADOPTERS WELCOME, transport available to 12 states. Buddy is vocal and does not do well living in apartment complexes. We will not adopt Buddy out to anyone living in an apartment.

More about this rescue
WHY & HOW
Let us start by telling you the "WHY" and "HOW" woofwoof fosters was created. Our founder
moved to TN in February of 2019. Since moving here, she has seen a lot of
posts on Facebook and other social media sites about missing, neglected, homeless, abused dogs, and
overcrowded shelters and rescues. Our founder and her family rented houses while
searching for a place to buy that would accommodate animals. In 2022, they finally found
a home to buy! Now that they have a home and some land, they want to do what they can
to help! The dream is that one day rescue organizations won't be needed and that all
humans will see these beautiful furbabies for what they are….. love in the purest form. It
is part of woofwoof foster's mission to make this happen.
