Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Millie is living in a foster home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Millie is a darling dog! She is about a year old and weighs around 17 pounds. Millie has experience living with dogs of all ages and sizes and does well with everyone. While we know Millie does well with other dogs, she does not have experience living with cats or children.
Millie came to rescue with a limp due to a bone that didn't grow quite right. She had surgery to correct the issue and is back on all fours! Millie's limp is significantly improved and now that she's pain free, Millie's working on her confidence. Millie's ideal home is patient, quiet, and dedicated to helping her settle in and blossom. A confident resident dog would be very helpful.
Millie loves her crate, chew toys, her playful foster sister and running around the backyard. She's getting the hang of walking on a leash around the neighborhood. She is very loving, snuggly, and trusting with her foster mom. She prefers a home with limited visitors as new folks can make her nervous. As she heals (inside and out) and gains confidence, she needs people who understand her needs.
She is an incredible, sweet, smart, affectionate little dog. On top of all that, she's also the softest!
Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Our requirements for Illinois applications are: excellent vet history, no children under 7 in the home, and an owned home. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care.
Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once
approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250.
