Floki was found in the desert outskirts at 6 weeks old and rescued September 2017, he has been a loving member of our family since.
Behavior/Personality: loving, sweet cat. He is attention hungry but he grew up with two other cats that have unfortunately passed. Has been lonely since. He loves to cuddle. He is an indoor cat that likes to play as much as he likes to lounge. Keeps his distance from dogs.
Reason for surrender: we have a one and a half year old son who is not understanding how to be gentle with Floki. He is so curious about him but has been nipped at and most recently a close scratch to his eye. In the 7 years we’ve had Floki not once had we ever heard him hiss except for just recently. Our son keeps going back to him and it’s become too much for us to police their interactions. Sadly we feel Floki could benefit from a loving home that can pay him the attention he needs and deserves and at the same time safeguard our curious toddler.
