Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rylo came in with another dog as an owner surrender. Unfortunately they could no longer care for them so he is currently at the shelter. Rylo is a little bit over a year old and is a retriever mix. He walks well on leash, and already knows the `sit` cue. Rylo may take some time to warm up to people, but so far he is doing quite well with making new friends slowly! Rylo is a playful pup and would do best in an active home, where his new family can take him on some outdoor adventures!

The Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter boasts one of the highest adoption rates in the nation. Come tour the Animal Shelter, meet a dog or cat, and bring the love of a pet into your home. All adopted pets will be spayed or neutered, will receive required inoculations and will be microchipped. These are included in adoption fees.
