Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This adorable chunk of love lives up to his name!
Meet Chunk!!! 🥰
Not only is he incredibly handsome, but he is affectionate, playful, loves people and other dogs! He is available for adoption.
Chunk is a loveable 2.5-year-old brindle American Staffordshire Terrier. While Chunk’s bodybuilder physique and human-like expressions are alluring, he is much more than just a pretty face. He is a good-natured, undemanding guy, who enjoys: the companionship of another dog, a big bone to gnaw on, a daily walk, cold tile, massages, and showers with his human.
Chunk is in great health, but his flat-face and thick neck make it difficult for him to endure heat and intense exercise. With that said, he has short bursts of puppy energy chasing his best friend, a 12 lb. Shih-Poo, throughout the house and backyard. Chunk appears to think he’s a small dog, too, which can be overpowering, yet he understands to be gentle with children. For this reason, Chunk would do best in a home with older children.
Chunk does have some challenges to be aware of. He is crate trained and doggie door trained. He sleeps in his crate overnight, but he does not like being left in his cage for long periods during the day (i.e. 3+ hours), and may try to chew the crate tray. Otherwise, if left unattended and not provided with bones to chew on, Chunk may find household items to chew on (often trash from trashcans or human food within his reach). For this reason, Chunk would do best in a home where someone is usually home for most of the day.
Overall, Chunk is a kindhearted soul who simply wants to give and receive love and attention. He will surely bring laughter to your home with his expressive face and effortlessly goofy behavior.
He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, blood tested for tick fever and heart worm and fecal tested. He is a wonderful companion, goofy, happy and all-around, silly boy.
This hilarious and very friendly young man is full of love and affection! He is an energetic and playful guy with lots of love to give. Chunk is a very curious dog who loves to explore, and he is always up for a good time. He's a dignified pooch, but he's got a silly side too, and he loves to make his people laugh. Chunk is the perfect companion for any adventure, big or small, and he is always ready to make new friends, human or canine. If you're looking for a fun and furry friend to join your family, Chunk is the boy for you! Chunk needs an active family with yard to play in.
