Meet Ellie the sweetheart! Ellie is bonded with her brother Nikko. Out of the two, Ellie is the extroverted and extremely friendly one. Nikko is also friendly but he is a bit shy when he first meets you. Ellie will run right up to you! She loves people and gets along with other cats. This kitty is always up for a good time, whether it is playing with a toy, chasing a flirt pole, or simply a nice petting/snuggle session, she is your gal! Super friendly and super affectionate! The Adoption Counselors will review your application and if approved will contact you to pay an adoption hold fee to reserve the animal.

Meet the Pet

All adopters need an appointment to meet the pet due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Thank you for choosing adoption! We hope that you will find a pet that will become a long time member of your family! Currently we are open to visitors and adopters via appointments only. The Adoption Counselors can schedule a time to visit after reviewing your accepted application. Please visit our website to see the pets profile and apply for them electronically. All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, have rabies and distemper shots (age appropriate), and are de-wormed and microchipped. he Humane Society of Charles County (HSCC) is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that relies completely on private donations and its own fundraising abilities to operate. We do not receive any federal, state or government funding or any funds from any national animal welfare organizations to operate.

The fees collected from the adoption of each animal help to offset some of the costs involved in providing care for the animals and preparing an animal for placement into a new home.
