My name is Shortcake (GA)!

Shortcake (GA) is a female Beagle mix estimated to be 6 years old at the time of intake in July 2024. Shortcake is up to date on vaccines and is microchipped. She will be spayed prior to joining her forever home unless there is a medical reason why it has not yet been completed (in which case RDR NYC will work with the adopter to ensure this is done at the appropriate time). Shortcake is good with people, other dogs and even cats. We don't know what Shortcake's life was like that landed her in a shelter suffering with some untreated medical issues. Fortunately, Shortcake was pulled out of the shelter so she could receive the medical care she required and when we received a request to provide that medical care to Shortcake, of course we said YES! Shortcake's medical issues have been treated and this adorable girl is ready to start her life over with her forever family. Shortcake is sweet (of course!). She is quite a chunky girl and is on a weight loss regimen. Her joints are a bit squeaky, but she's on an arthritis supplement as well. Shortcake is literally one of the easiest going dogs ever and even a little person could walk her easily! Shortcake is on a special food as she cannot have chicken.
