My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rocko, the Sweet Shepherd Husky Mix!

Rocko's journey has been quite a story. Initially rescued from a hoarding situation where he was severely neglected and ill, Rocko was nursed back to health by our dedicated team at SNARL. He found a loving home but was later abandoned and ended up at The Animal Foundation. Despite everything he's been through, Rocko remains an affectionate love bug who adores everyone he meets. With his boundless energy, he loves to stand on his back legs for hugs and responds well to commands like "sit.

Rocko would greatly benefit from a foster home where he can get out of boarding and receive the constant love he so eagerly craves. He needs a patient home to help him with his jumping, as he uses this behavior to get the hugs he loves. Additionally, Rocko requires structure for potty training since we don't know if his previous family worked on it or how long he was on the streets. Rocko loves treats, so with the right cookies, he should train easily. Despite his past challenges, Rocko is a happy pup ready for a loving home with the patience and structure he needs to thrive.

More about this rescue

Southern Nevada Animal Rescue League (SNARL) exists to provide a better life for adoptable homeless, abandoned, or abused animals. We aim to assist in the effort of limiting the overpopulation of these animals as well as educate the public against breed or size discrimination. There is no such thing as a “bad breed”, only bad humans. Our mission is to make sure all of the animals we rescue are placed in loving, safe, and viable fur-ever homes.
