My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cactus came to us as an owner surrender. His original family bought him as a puppy from a breeder. At the time, they had 2 babies. The breeder had told them it’s good that they’re babies because she had toddlers that were “rough” with the puppies and so he was scared of small children. Lo and behold, three years later, the babies became toddlers and poor cactus was terrified. He was never aggressive with the kids, he just was terrified of them. They felt that he would do much better in a home without small children. He was extremely timid on intake, but it only took a few days for him to come out of his shell and he’s doing very well. He’s crate trained for sure. The owners said he was housebroken as well. So far, he’s had no accidents in the house. Cactus most likely will be a candidate for our training program. We’ll update more as we learn more about Cactus
