For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Willie is going to get you up and moving, and keep you laughing too! He's just under 2 years old and Willie is a bright-eyed and bubbly husky that was found as a stray. Willie is all husky and he's always ready to goof around and have lots of fun! Willie has lots of energy but once he gets his jumpies out, what a good boy he is. He sits instantly when you ask him to and he's very gentle with taking treats. He loves to run off after every ball that you'll throw for him and will even occasionally drop it at your feet! Willie walks well on a leash and has had training in his day. He's good with dogs but since Willie has a bit of a prey drive, no cats for this guy. Willie would do best with older, sturdier kids, simply because he can be a little bit mouthy while playing. He doesn't mean any harm at all.....just typical husky! Willie will bring so much fun to your life if you welcome him home. Call 609-693-1900 or email: office@ahsppz.org for an application. File#71595 4/6/24

More about this shelter
The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.
For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
Please visit our website AHSCares.org for additional information.
