Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
"Dogs give us their absolute all. We are the center of their universe." This makes us think of our much loved Fuse!
Why we love him: Fuse truly lives in the moment and savors each and every day - there's a lesson there for all of us!
Fuse is a delightful dog who will be such a fun companion! He is three years old and weighs 48 pounds. If you want to adopt a medium size companion, Fuse would be a great choice!
Fuse had a fun outing with one of our dedicated volunteers who reports: "He was a perfect gentleman! We took a short walk before we left. When we got in the car, it was obvious he loves riding. Fuse was so content to look out the window (loved Christmas music and tolerated my singing). We went to Warner Park and walked the greenway. Fuse was all tail wags for every person and furry creature we saw. He was somewhat timid as we started the walk, but gained confidence as time went on. We walked two miles and he led me right back to our car and hopped in the passenger seat.
We went to our house where Fuse took a shower (LOVED), ate a chicken nugget, chewed on a bone and a hard toy, and watched a Christmas movie. He got a little excited after his shower with some zoomies and play bite nibbles but was easily corrected. He really just wanted attention. Fuse settled on to a couch (after being invited) and proceeded to take a nap.
We went to Petsmart for Santa photos where Fuse was better behaved than all the dogs in line for photos. He was all tail wags and sweetness.
We stopped at Starbucks for a pup cup and he was the most gentle - so demure.
He fell asleep on Leah’s lap on the way back to the shelter."
Another volunteer observes: "Fuse has a very easygoing attitude and views everyone he meets as a new friend! He is very people oriented. Fuse is interested in observing everything around him and always has a big happy doggie grin on his face. Fuse soaks up all of the attention and is very playful. He is easy to walk and knows the sit command."
A third volunteer says: "Being with Fuse truly brightens my day! We have the best time playing with the toys. He is so friendly and sweet and a great cuddle buddy! Fuse is congenial and good natured and very appreciative of attention and affection. He will be such a wonderful family dog!"
Fuse always enjoys time in the fenced yard, where he loves to run and play. Games of fetch are his favorite activity and he has so much fun with the toys.
Fuse will eventually make his way back to where you are to hang out with you and enjoy the day and have lots of pets and cuddles. He is such a sweetheart!
Fuse has had so much fun in play groups with his fellow shelter companions. If you have another dog, we do require a meet and greet to ensure compatibility.
Fuse is a bright dog who should master any commands you wish to teach him. He will already sit for the reward of a treat.
Handsome, smart, fun and so sweet - Fuse is all this and much more!
Fuse does need a home without cats.
