My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Dogs give us their absolute all. We are the center of their universe." This makes us think of our much loved Fuse!

Why we love him: Fuse truly lives in the moment and savors each and every day - there's a lesson there for all of us!

Fuse is a delightful dog who will be such a fun companion! He is three years old and weighs 48 pounds. If you want to adopt a medium size companion, Fuse would be a great choice!

One of our dedicated volunteers observes: "Fuse has a very easygoing attitude and views everyone he meets as a new friend! He is very people oriented. Fuse is interested in observing everything around him and always has a big happy doggie grin on his face. Fuse soaks up all of the attention and is very playful. He is easy to walk and knows the sit command."

Another volunteer reports: "Being with Fuse truly brightens my day! We have the best time playing with the toys. He is so friendly and sweet and a great cuddle buddy! Fuse is congenial and good natured and very appreciative of attention and affection. He will be such a wonderful family dog!"

Fuse always enjoys time in the fenced yard, where he loves to run and play. Games of fetch are his favorite activity and he has so much fun with the toys.

Fuse will eventually make his way back to where you are to hang out with you and enjoy the day and have lots of pets and cuddles.

Fuse has had so much fun in play groups with his fellow shelter companions. If you have another dog, we do require a meet and greet to ensure compatibility.

Fuse is a bright dog who should master any commands you wish to teach him.

Handsome, smart, fun and so sweet - Fuse is all this and much more!

Fuse does need a home without cats.

More about this shelter

Cheatham County Animal Control is committed to finding good homes for the animals that come into the shelter system. We work with rescues and adopters. We are a no kill shelter but we rely on people coming in to adopt!

All of our cats/dogs receive vaccinations that are appropriate for the age and health when they are at animal control. We also spay and neuter all of our animals. The adopter is responsible for all vaccinations and medical care after adoption.
