My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mocha is a sweet and gentle medium-sized boxer mix who has been waiting patiently for her forever family. She is the last of a litter of seven puppies found last winter, and itandamp;#39;s her turn to be picked.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Mocha can by a little shy at first, but she has a kind heart and is incredibly sweet once she gets to know you. She may be a bit insecure, but with patience and love, she will become your most loyal companion. While Mocha doesnandamp;#39;t like being petted much, she absolutely loves to cuddle and will snuggle up with you every chance she gets.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Mocha is fully potty trained and crate trained. She has received basic obedience training and is also loose-leash trained.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Mocha is great with other dogs and would do best in a home with a canine playmate to help her build confidence and feel secure. She is a bit more reserved, so a calm environment with older kids would be ideal for her.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Letandamp;#39;s help Mocha find her forever home before her first birthday!andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;email EPAS@elpasotexas.gov with her A number to meet her!andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Mocha is 10 months old, weighs just 34 pounds, and is already spayed, chipped, and vaccinated. Mochaandamp;#39;s adoption is FREE.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Mocha: A0054837996

Their adoption process

1.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

With hundreds of pets at the shelter and in foster, we recommend checking our website before visiting in person.

2.

Meet the Pet

We recommend bringing the whole family, including resident dogs, to meet the pet you're interested in adopting to ensure it's a good match.

3.

Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoption team will review the adoption contract with you. Adoption fees are $30 for dogs and $5 for cats unless during a special promo.

Additional adoption info

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made in person. As a high-intake shelter, most of the pets that come to us are strays, meaning we have limited background history on the pet, such as health, behavioral or living history. All adoptions include the animal's spay/neuter procedure, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and city license. All adoptions include a 7 day free trial with our training partner, GoodPup to help ease the transition!
