The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.
Meet Starlight! She originally came with her friend Hughie who has since been adopted. She's a playful pup who loves fetch - she has a special orange ball that she loves to play with in her kennel! This girl is SO sweet and gentle - it's impossible not to love her! She did well in an apartment while in foster for a while, and enjoys hanging out with her people. She loves giving kisses too! On a recent field trip to the park with our volunteers she was interested in watching all the passersby and friendly to everyone she met. Starlight knows how to sit if you have the right treats! She has met dogs she likes, and some dogs that she has not liked as much. Speak with our staff today to learn about her specific needs!
Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.

From the Dog Kennels/Kennel Group I/Kennel Group Q (in shelter): To meet this dog, please come to Seattle Animal Shelter at 2061 15th Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119, between 1 - 5 pm Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. No appointment needed! We are closed for adoptions on Monday, Friday, and all holidays. You can fill out a survey in advance and bring it with you: https://bit.ly/SASdogsurvey.
From Foster Care (out of shelter): 1. Copy and paste the adoption survey link into a new tab on your browser: https://bit.ly/SASdogsurvey 2. Download and complete the dog survey. 3. Save the survey to your device with a new file name that includes your last name. Make sure it's filled in when opened again. 4. Put the name of the dog(s) in the Subject Line of a new email. Attach your survey, add any additional information you would like us to know, and send to sasfosteradoption@seattle.gov.
