Our sweet and beautiful Sparkles has had a rough start in life, but she is ready to find her forever home!
Sparkles was initially given the tough job of being a mouser at a car wash. As time went on, her health waned, and her spirit dimmed - yet she clung to survival with a tenacity that defied her circumstances. Thankfully, someone was able to get her out of there before it was too late, and she was finally rescued from months of neglect. When Sparkles first came to us, she was timid, frail, and afraid of humans. But with patience and care - and an amazing foster - she is 100 percent healthy and has blossomed into a total love bug! She now seeks affection and adores being petted. It's so heartwarming to see her learn how to trust humans again. She must know she is finally safe
Sparkles, approximately 1-2 years old, is spayed and fully vetted, ready for her next chapter! She would thrive in a quiet, loving and calm environment, especially given her rough start. We also think she'd do best as a solo cat, where she can receive all the attention and care she deserves. If you're looking for a sweet companion, Sparkles might just be the purrfect gal to your family!

Meowsquad is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization started in 2019. Our goal is to reduce the large stray and feral cat population of New York City by using Trap Neuter Return (TNR) techniques as well as working with the community to find forever homes for cats and kittens that can be resocialized. We also aim to relocate those who cannot be returned into safe, working environments.
