This beautiful goofy boy is Walnut, he and his twin brother Chestnut are a busy pair of kittens. They are usually found together when playing, eating, or sleeping. Both boys are lap cats, they will both climb up onto your lap, usually at the same time, curl up and fall asleep. They crave the attention. Both boys will play with anything they think is a toy. They love any type of ball that they can either roll through the house or carry in their mouth. They are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together. Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
