Hi there! Meet Russell 🐾, a playful ball of energy who loves to follow the other kitties around the house. He absolutely adores his feline friends and feels quite sad when they’re not around 😿. Playing with his kitty pals is his favorite thing to do, and he always has so much fun chasing and wrestling with them.
Russell is still a bit shy around humans and is learning to trust them. He needs a patient family who will give him the time and love he needs to adjust. While he may not jump into your lap right away, with some patience and gentle encouragement, he will come around. Once he warms up, he turns into a purring machine 🐱❤️.
He loves to play with all kinds of toys and explore his surroundings. Curious about everything, he is always on the lookout for new adventures. Russell just needs a family who understands that he requires a little extra time to feel safe and comfortable.
** Russell MUST go to a home with another active, playful cat. (Or adopt a second kitty with him for half the adoption fee!) He needs an indoor-only home with plenty of room to run around, cat trees to climb on, and toys to play with. He does great with other cats after proper introductions and would be best in a home without dogs. He does well with respectful, older children and is litter box trained.

Friends of Community-Cats Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization, with an incredible team of volunteers, dedicated to rescuing and saving the lives of cats and kittens whom are abandoned, neglected, sick, injured, unwanted or would otherwise be euthanized in shelters. We work with multiple shelters in Utah and are part of the Best Friends Animal Society Coalition aiming to make Utah a no-kill state.
We take in the abandoned, abused, unwanted, neglected, geriatric and neonatal, sick and injured and cats with severe behavioral problems. We get the cats medical care, rehabilitation and bring them back to health and prepare them for adoption. We have a great adoption program in which we spay/neuter, vaccinate and microchip the cats and kittens before placing them into loving, adoptive homes.
We participate in Trap-Neuter-Return for community cats. We provide food, shelters and medical care for more than 100 community cats daily. We also assist low income families with medical care and food for their animals.
We are 100% volunteer and foster based and rely on donations from the public to keep our organization running. We mostly focus on cats, however we do help other animals as well, such as dogs, small animals and livestock.
Our director, Kali Cristaudo, founded this organization in 2012. Since then, we have grown so much, formed an incredible team of volunteers and have saved thousands of lives and we will continue to save more and more lives every year.
