My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPT RUSSELL! 🐾

🌟 Meet Russell: The Adventurous Bracelet Bandit! 🌟
Russell is a playful, energetic boy with a larger-than-life personality! 🐾 This little adventurer is always on the go, exploring, climbing, and causing just the right amount of adorable chaos. His foster mom says he has a favorite toy—a small bracelet he’s completely obsessed with. 🎀 It's his ultimate treasure, and he carries it everywhere, proudly showing it off. He’ll even challenge his siblings to try and take it, but if they succeed… oh, the dramatic protests! 😹 Watching him reclaim his prized possession is pure comedy gold.

When he’s not defending his bracelet, Russell loves spending time with his kitty friends. He’s happiest when surrounded by feline companions, snuggling up with them at bedtime after a day full of fun. 🐈‍⬛❤️ Cardboard boxes are another of his great loves—he can’t resist climbing in, playing around, or chewing them to bits. 📦💥 This boy knows how to turn even the simplest things into an adventure.

Russell is also quite the chatterbox. He’ll use his cute little voice to talk to his humans, especially if they’re eating something delicious. 🍗🍖 His clever attempts to convince you to share your food will have you smiling every time. Though he’s not the biggest fan of being held and likes his space at times—he’s got too much exploring to do!—he adores being petted and will happily accept all the affection you offer. Wet food is the key to his heart, and he’ll love you forever if you keep it coming! 🥰

** Russell MUST go to a home with another active, playful cat. (Or adopt a second kitty with him for half the adoption fee!) He needs an indoor-only home with plenty of room to run around, cat trees to climb on, and toys to play with. He needs a family who will give him lots of love, attention, and playtime. **

Russell does great with other cats after proper introductions. His foster mom thinks he would do well with calm, cat-friendly dogs after proper introductions. He does well with respectful, older children and is litter box trained.

Russell is looking for a home where he can continue his adventures with plenty of love, playtime, and maybe a few kitty friends to join him. If you’re ready for a fun, feisty, and utterly lovable companion, Russell might just be the perfect fit for you! 🏡💕

More about this rescue

Friends of Community-Cats Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization, with an incredible team of volunteers, dedicated to rescuing and saving the lives of cats and kittens whom are abandoned, neglected, sick, injured, unwanted or would otherwise be euthanized in shelters. We work with multiple shelters in Utah and are part of the Best Friends Animal Society Coalition aiming to make Utah a no-kill state.
We take in the abandoned, abused, unwanted, neglected, geriatric and neonatal, sick and injured and cats with severe behavioral problems. We get the cats medical care, rehabilitation and bring them back to health and prepare them for adoption. We have a great adoption program in which we spay/neuter, vaccinate and microchip the cats and kittens before placing them into loving, adoptive homes.
We participate in Trap-Neuter-Return for community cats. We provide food, shelters and medical care for more than 100 community cats daily. We also assist low income families with medical care and food for their animals.
We are 100% volunteer and foster based and rely on donations from the public to keep our organization running. We mostly focus on cats, however we do help other animals as well, such as dogs, small animals and livestock.
Our director, Kali Cristaudo, founded this organization in 2012. Since then, we have grown so much, formed an incredible team of volunteers and have saved thousands of lives and we will continue to save more and more lives every year.
