My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾CARL🐾
*** Application link is below & must be submitted prior to a meet and greet.
(Indoor-only, no declawing, needs a playmate, Utah residents only, 21+.)

Meet Carl! 🐾 This sweet, playful boy is bursting with energy and always on the hunt for his next toy to chase. Whether it's a feather wand, a ball, or even a crinkly paper, Carl is up for any game! 🧶 He absolutely loves spending time with the other cats in his foster home, often leading the way in fun, playful antics. His friendly, social nature makes him a great companion for anyone with other pets or looking to add more joy to their home.

But Carl isn't just all about play—he's got a huge affectionate side too. 🥰 When he’s ready for some love, you'll find him twisting and turning into the most hilarious, upside-down positions, all while purring like a motor! 😸 He adores being petted and will happily soak up all the attention you’re willing to give. Watching him wiggle around in his quest for pets will always bring a smile to your face.

Carl can be a little shy at first when he’s in a new environment, so he’ll need a bit of time and patience to adjust. But once he feels safe and comfortable, his true personality shines, and you’ll be rewarded with a loving, playful, and endlessly entertaining companion.

** Carl must go to a home with another active, playful cat (or adopt a second kitty with him for half the adoption fee!). He needs an indoor-only home with plenty of room to run around, cat trees to climb, and toys to play with. A patient family who will provide him with time to adjust, love, attention, and playtime is essential. **

Carl does great with other cats after proper introductions. He’s not the biggest fan of dogs at the moment, but his foster mom believes he could adjust with the right introductions. He does well with respectful, older children and is litter box trained.

If you’re looking for a fun-loving kitten who’s also super affectionate, Carl is the perfect match! 💕

More about this rescue

Friends of Community-Cats Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization, with an incredible team of volunteers, dedicated to rescuing and saving the lives of cats and kittens whom are abandoned, neglected, sick, injured, unwanted or would otherwise be euthanized in shelters. We work with multiple shelters in Utah and are part of the Best Friends Animal Society Coalition aiming to make Utah a no-kill state.
We take in the abandoned, abused, unwanted, neglected, geriatric and neonatal, sick and injured and cats with severe behavioral problems. We get the cats medical care, rehabilitation and bring them back to health and prepare them for adoption. We have a great adoption program in which we spay/neuter, vaccinate and microchip the cats and kittens before placing them into loving, adoptive homes.
We participate in Trap-Neuter-Return for community cats. We provide food, shelters and medical care for more than 100 community cats daily. We also assist low income families with medical care and food for their animals.
We are 100% volunteer and foster based and rely on donations from the public to keep our organization running. We mostly focus on cats, however we do help other animals as well, such as dogs, small animals and livestock.
Our director, Kali Cristaudo, founded this organization in 2012. Since then, we have grown so much, formed an incredible team of volunteers and have saved thousands of lives and we will continue to save more and more lives every year.
