My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This big, beautiful mare is ready to find her forever home! When Vega first stepped `hoof` into Longmeadow, we knew she had potential. Not only was she a stunner, with her shiny sorrel coat and cute facial markings, but she also had solid groundwork manners straight away. Upon evaluation, our trainers found Vega was well broke under saddle. She neck reined, was responsive to pressure, and had a good stop. As a Tennessee Walker, her gait was comfortable and smooth. She has been ridden by our trainers in the arena and around the property, with both a saddle and bareback. Vega is an excellent citizen on the ground and very easy to get along with. She is great for trailer loading, baths, and fly spray. She even stands nicely for the farrier! We`re tellin` you...this mare is incredible.

At times, Vega can get distracted and a little stressed, but still exceeds our expectations, considering she went through a major life change coming to Longmeadow. She gets along well with other equine, but especially loves donkeys. She tends to be in the middle of the pecking order here at the Ranch. We think this mare would do best with an intermediate rider.
