Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Nina Beans is a beautiful, smart and loyal, three-year-old, 45-pound, grey brindle pit bull terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian. She has an odd growth on her forehead reminiscent of a Star Trek Klingon. That feature along with her engaging personality has allowed her to gain a large fan base.
She loves runs, walks, training (with her favorite treats, of course), agility, snuggling, and being the center of attention.
Nina has been living in a board and train facility for about nine months, and by now she’s received her PhD!
She can sometimes be overwhelmed outside her familiar world, but training is included at no additional fee with her adoption, so we can help you help her to adjust!
While not necessary, she sure would love a backyard to play tug and fetch. She’s not a dog park or doggie daycare kind of gal.
She’s a fan of pack walks and does best with dogs who are larger than herself. Although she’s looking for a home as the one and only pet in your world.
She can be pushy at times, so she’s looking for a strong leader who can help guide and manage her desires. She just wants a loving family (no kids please, their high voices and fast movements over-stimulate her).
When she’s found her person and settled down, she’s snuggly, well-behaved in the home, housebroken and crate-trained.
She knows the commands: Sit, Down, Stay, “Right Here” (Heel on left side), “This Way” (Turning), Place (on cot/bed/couch).

Nina Beans was previously adopted from Chicago Animal Care and Control and participated in the Safe Humane’s Lifetime Bonds program. Sadly, due to no fault of her own, the family couldn’t keep her for life, and she’s been in board and train ever since.
Nina Beans is healthy, spayed, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, microchipped, heartworm-tested and on preventative.
Her adoption fee of $175 benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue.
