My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Adoption visits are by appointment only** If you see an animal you're interested in, fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website https://everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet

Meet Baby! This sweet girl is longing for an active family to take her on all sorts of adventures. She's had a rough past and now looking to enjoy the good life! Baby will need a meet and greet with any resident dogs and a home with no cats. Baby weighs 72 pounds.

Baby has gone on multiple Wandering Rover adventures with great feedback!

"She listens really well and she loves playing fetch, and when walking she walks on your side and when walking next to other people she minds her business and keeps walking. In the car she was hyper at first but then calmed down and was really good with us, she wouldn't jump on us and she's good with kids."

"She was so sweet, great in the car, great on the leash, sweet with all the friends she met. She would enjoy a family to take her on adventures!"

"Baby settled nicely in the crate in the car for the 40-mile drive north to Deception Pass Sate Park. She is food motivated. I worked on her recall which she learned fast, she has a good sit. She did extremely well on leash. Baby would make an excellent adventure dog. She is confident and nothing seemed to phase her. Baby is a happy dog and with continued training she will make an excellent companion."

"We went On a 4 mile walk! She didn't whine or bark at anything. Pulled a little when other dogs walked by, but was never aggressive/barked. Didn't mind kids or other humans giving her love when passing."

ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT

Our shelter is currently closed for general animal viewing, but we’ve still got awesome dogs, cats and other critters waiting for new families to come and adopt them. To help keep our staff, volunteers and community healthy, we are now providing adoptions by appointment. This enables us to comply with social distancing guidelines while still finding loving homes for the pets in our care.

How does this work?

First, check out our available animals online. If you see an animal you’re interested in, visit our website (www.everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet) to complete an online adoption application.

Our staff will review your application and contact you to discuss the adoption. Please note that we receive many applications, and it may take up to a week before you are contacted.

Adoption appointments are set up using strict social distancing protocols, and many transactions are processed ‘curbside’ outdoors. Our staff will go over appointment details when they speak with you.

Renters bring rental pet policy at time of adoption. Not having the rental pet policy available may delay or nullify an adoption.

Animals are usually able to go home right away, so be prepared for your new pet to leave with you.

CATS
- Adult cats (over 6 months): $50
- Kittens (6 months and under): $125
- Two kittens adopted at the same time: $200
