My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Roxy is a happy, energetic, smart 3 yr. old who loves people. A loyal companion who's usually by my side when I'm at home, Roxy also enjoys romping around the backyard, chasing her frisbee, going on walks and soaking up the sun. Her faves: tummy rubs, frisbee, squeaky toys, and cheese!

Roxy would be happiest with a healthy couple or person who have a stable, active lifestyle. She hasn't lived with children, cats or other dogs. She needs a fenced yard or lots of land to run off leash. Busy, loud places and young kids can be a bit too much for her at this time.

After adopting Roxy, we worked on her reluctance to take car rides and now readily goes for rides, loose-leash walks, and knows basic commands. Longer trips are still a challenge as she gets nervous at higher speeds.

Unfortunately, personal health issues and frequent overnight trips to visit my aging mom have made it difficult to care for Roxy in the way she deserves.
