Amelia is our resident squishy squishmallow and she’s ready to squeeze her way into your heart!! Amelia came to the shelter as a stray and was quickly adopted; however, she was immediately introduced to the resident cats (dog/cat intros should always be slow and controlled), and she said “no thank you!” So, Amelia is back on the hunt for a kitty free home!
Amelia also spent about a month in a foster home- here’s what we learned:
- She’s a quiet houseguest overall - She is well- behaved when left alone (but don’t leave food out if you want it for later!) - She his housebroken and did well in a crate - She LOVES getting pets - Her favorite toys are the squeaky kind - She quickly learned ‘sit’ and ‘lay down’
Amelia is a day trip superstar too- she spent a day away from the shelter getting a bath, meeting new people, and getting all the belly rubs she could. She did well in the car, seemed to be housebroken, and was a mellow couch potato overall.
“Amelia loves people and just wants to please them. She loves a good belly rub! She gets the zoomies and enjoys a good game of chase. She also slept in a crate and had no accidents.”
Here’s what one volunteer at the shelter said:
“Amelia was very excited to get out of her kennel and enjoyed getting petted. Very good girl!”
Amelia shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been social, tolerant, playful, and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Ask to meet Amelia today!
