My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** Brisket is in a foster home, and is available for adoption! Email applications@chicagocaninerescue.org to set up a meet + greet! **

Meet Brisket, a gorgeous two-year-old Pittie with a heart full of love and a passion for relaxation! Though this pretty girl enjoys her cozy couch time, she’s also enthusiastic about her daily walks and exploring the outdoors.

Brisket is the perfect blend of laid-back and lively. She loves to unwind on the couch with her favorite humans but is equally excited to get out and stretch her legs on a walk. Her affectionate nature makes her a wonderful companion for both quiet moments at home and energetic outings.

She’s friendly with people, but does appreciate some distance from other pups! Brisket is well-mannered and generally low-maintenance, with a gentle demeanor that shines through in all her interactions. That said... she can be a little jumpy when greeting people! She`s learning some new cues to help her keep those feet on the ground!

If you’re looking for a loving, easygoing friend who enjoys both snuggling and walking adventures, Brisket is the ideal match. She’s ready to bring joy and companionship into your life. Could you be the one to give this sweet girl her forever home?

More about this shelter

CCRF was founded in 2001 to help find permanent, loving homes for homeless dogs in our city. In just over seven years, CCRF has saved the lives of over 2,000 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.

CCRF now assists the animals that are the MOST vulnerable in Midwest - the dogs and cats that are slated for euthanasia because they are too old, too young, injured, have disabilities, or have simply been overlooked for too long by potential adopters at other shelters.
