Here's what the humans have to say about me:
?Bella is a consistent top pick for beginner volunteers, known for her easygoing nature and excellent leash skills. This sweet girl came to the shelter after her owner of six years faced medical issues, leaving her separated from her beloved canine sister and the only human family she had ever known. Despite this upheaval, Bella has adapted well, impressing everyone with her calm demeanor and impeccable manners. Smart and eager to learn, Bella has even showcased her agility skills at the shelter. She would thrive in a variety of living situations and could happily share her home with a compatible pup. Plus, she`s an absolute cutie pie! Come meet Bella today and see for yourself why she’s the belle of the ball!

Our shelter has more than 500 available cats and dogs every day! For pets at the shelter: Adoptions must be completed in-person at the shelter. AAC is open for adoption walk-ins every day from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. A shelter pet’s availability can change at any time, so we recommend choosing a few favorites. For pets in foster: Go to www.AustinAnimalCenter.org to find the pet's profile and click that pet's pink “Adopt Me” button. This will prompt you to complete an adoption questionnaire. Submitting an application does not hold the animal for you.
We have dozens of animals that won't be listed online yet because they're still in their stray hold period, but can be pre-adopted at the shelter in case their owner doesn't come for them.
Adoption Fees:
$80 cats & kittens up to 6 years old
$80 dogs 6 months to 6 years, 30 lbs and up
$100 dogs under 30 lbs and/or under 6 months
$30 small animals
No fee for senior pets 7 years and older
