Mama is sweet, affectionate and very thankful for attention from people. She`s a nice leash walker, and her foster family tells us that’s she`s super housetrained for a full work day, and then some! She`s crate trained (great for traveling) but doesn`t need to be crated, she is non-destructive staying out on her own. Fav things? Having a basket full of her own toys, catching up her beauty sleep, and snoozing by her person! She`s never seen a toy she`s didn`t like and she`s not met a person she doesn`t love.
Have a resident dog at home? Let`s set up a meet and greet and see how they hit it off. Sorry felines, she`s a little too interested in you!
In her spare time, you might also spot Mama sunbathing as its one of her favorite activities – along with being the best couch buddy during college football season.

Our shelter has more than 500 available cats and dogs every day! For pets at the shelter: Adoptions must be completed in-person at the shelter. AAC is open for adoption walk-ins every day from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. A shelter pet’s availability can change at any time, so we recommend choosing a few favorites. For pets in foster: Go to www.AustinAnimalCenter.org to find the pet's profile and click that pet's pink “Adopt Me” button. This will prompt you to complete an adoption questionnaire. Submitting an application does not hold the animal for you.
