My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.

* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.

This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, November 2nd from 12-3pm or until adopted. If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.

Adoption Fee: $600

Aristotle is a 5 month old Dachshund mix who can’t wait to find his baller! Aristotle came to our rescue with Mama Poet and his siblings as newborns after they were left at the shelter. Aristotle is the last left of his litter but he’s the sweetest and the cutest! We suspect Aristotle will be in the 20ish pound range when he reaches his adult weight but we can’t be sure! Ready for action? Adopt Aristotle!

Aristotle is a cuddle-bug who has the most fabulous personality all wrapped up in an adorable puppy body! Unlike his lyrical counterpart, our Aristotle does know how to ball. Err… he knows how to fetch that is! Aristotle is full of love and adoration for his people and he faithfully follows his foster parents around as they go about their days. This boy will make the most amazing addition to his lucky new people as he has the ability to brighten any room he zooms into. With a dude like Aristotle in your life, you will never have to think about your past life (which is so high school) before he raced into it.

Aristotle been well socialized with dogs of all ages and sizes. He would thrive as either a solo dog or as a companion to a resident dog.

Aristotle is only an option for homes who have owned a dog at some point in their lifetime. Kids in the home should be over the age of 6.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
