My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Corey is a sweet boy who loves to relax in the sun, enjoys soft pets, and loves to play a gentle game of tug of war with his person. His favorite toys are ones with little fuzzy feathers or toys that squeak. Corey enjoys meandering walks to get some fresh air and take in the wonderful smells and scenery. He loves to relax with his humans and will follow you around like you are the light of his life. Corey has no separation anxiety and does not need to be crated; he is very obedient and able to stay relaxed and sleep until you are back home from your own adventures and errands from the day. He would do best in a home where there is a doggy door and a yard, or with a human who works from home or is retired to ensure he can have frequent potty breaks, especially on warmer days when he may drink more water. Corey is friendly with other dogs and while he may not play with his furry peers, he loves all creatures and humans. It’s so sweet to see Corey gallop through the grass and wiggle his butt with happiness as he looks up and smiles at you, enjoying the quality time you’ll spend together. His size (18 pounds) and easy-going personality make him a good fit for a family with children. Ten-year-old Corey is missing an eye, but that doesn’t slow him down in the least. He's the perfect dog in every way with a temperament as sweet as honey!

Additional adoption info

An adoption application, adoption fee and home check are required. We do a foster to adopt process, so the dog is fostered for the first week (or so) to make sure the fit is perfect before finalizing the adoption.

More about this rescue

Loved Again Pets focuses on animals 6 years and older and special needs animals. We do rescue younger dogs that need our help when there is a need. Most of our animals come from high kill shelters, but we also help out with local surrenders. We are a foster based rescue and have foster homes in California and Oregon.
