My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ollie is a 3 year old Portuguese Podengo. He may be a pint sized dog at roughly 30 lbs, but he has a large personality. Ollie would thrive in a moderately active home where he can get lots of walks and playtime as well as plenty of time to relax and take naps. Ollie can be a little shy around new people and environments but tends to adjust well given time. Due to Ollie's past experiences he has a very hard time trusting men and would do best in a female only home or with an expired adopter that can work with his fears help him find confidence. Ollie does ok with other dogs but can be overwhelming to some. He is very playful that loves doing zoomies with his favorite toys and splashing around in a kiddie pool. He is also one of the biggest cuddle bugs and loves getting pet and taking naps. Ollie is really the best of both worlds when it comes to his favorite activities.

More about this rescue

Fast Friends is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) dedicated to educating the public about Greyhounds and sighthounds from around the world with the primary goal of finding responsible, loving homes for them. Fast Friends envisions a world where no Greyhound or sighthound lacks for a loving home and these breeds are valued and celebrated for their uniqueness.

Fast Friends works closely with both international and domestic partners to bring retired racing Greyhounds and other sighthounds in need from countries where they have almost no chance of a local adoption to its facility in Swanzey, New Hampshire. Each dog receives high quality care with a focus on one-on-one staff time and individualized plans to help them overcome any neglect or trauma they have experienced so that they can be successful in a home. We are dedicated to taking in dogs with the most challenging circumstances.
