Say hi to Luna! This friendly girl is looking to be part of family that will shower her with love and cherish her as much as she will them. She’d be so happy to play with squeaky balls or join you on walks. She likes to sniff around but will check in with you to say hello. She pulls moderately on leash, so continued leash and obedience training would be helpful. Luna was a little pushy at first when meeting a female husky, but then started to play. She tolerates handling pretty well. Add some fun and happiness to your home by adopting sweet Luna! Kids 12 and up recommended.

More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
