Hey there, I’m Van! I’m a 9-month-old Shepherd mix with big dreams of finding my forever home. I’ve been hanging out at the rescue for a little too long now, and I’m ready to meet the right family who will love me for who I am. I’m going to be a big boy when I’m fully grown, and I’ve got these stunning golden eyes that everyone says are just beautiful.

I love playing with my rescue roommates, but I get a little nervous around small kids because their quick, unpredictable movements scare me. That’s why I need a calm, home with active adults who will be patient with me as I settle in and get used to life outside the rescue. Once I feel safe, I’ll be the best companion you could ask for—especially if you love walking, hiking and any playtime outside!

I don’t want to brag, but I’m getting better at walking on a leash, I’m pretty much housebroken, and I love hanging out in my crate. Oh, and cats? I’ve been okay with them too! If you’re looking for a loving, loyal pup who just needs a little time and patience, I think we’d be a perfect match. Could you be my forever home? I sure hope so!

You must be at least 25 and live within a 5-hour driving radius of Thompson PA. We check veterinary references and require all pets within the home to be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and maintained on heartworm and flea & tick preventatives.
