My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

JOANIE is a smart, playful girl who loves to see people and see what the world has to offer. She loves the water, cuddle time and play time. JOANIE is potty-trained and great with other dogs and kids. She has seen the neighbor's cats and has shown no interest in bothering them. JOANIE will likely stay on the smaller side, as she is currently 7 months old and only weighs 45 lbs.! Joanie has a very sweet temperament. She is a little bit shy for a couple of minutes and then she is good to go.

JOANIE was found as a stray with 2 other dogs in a small town in Oklahoma. They were picked up by animal control and brought to a high kill shelter. Unfortunately, their time was limited but thankfully one of our amazing fosters picked all 3 of them up!

More about this rescue

A Lab for Life (ALL) provides a compassionate life-line to abandoned dogs that includes a safe haven, medical care by a licensed veterinarian, nutrition (food) and a fur-ever family through adoption. ALL promotes the humane treatment of animals in the community.

ALL was founded in July 2020 by a group of dog advocates in central Oklahoma and
Northeastern US after some had been volunteering with an out of state rescue for over 5 years. That experience solidified a local organization was needed. ALL formed to rescue as many stray, homeless and owner surrendered dogs as possible by partnering with many state-wide shelters and rescue operations. In addition to transferring homeless dogs from the shelters, fostering them in temporary homes and adopting them out, we also provide behavioral and medical resources to people who are considering surrendering their dog in an effort to keep the dog in their homes and out of the shelter/rescue system.
ALL operates under the 5 freedoms for animal welfare.
We are a brand new organization and welcome donations!
