Introducing Norfolk, a 4-year old, 9-pound tri-color Chihuahua mix who is as cute as a button. Check out his striking markings! And what ‘bout his super long tongue!?!
Norfolk is a nervous nellie at the moment, and understandably so coming from a hoarder, but with each passing day, he is starting to settle in to his new environment. It’s pretty obvious that Norfolk wants to be relaxed and happy…he’s just too uncertain to let down his guard right now. Poor frightened ‘lil thing, his heart yearns to both give and receive love…but first he must decompress and learn how to trust again…which he absolutely will.
Quiet and docile, Norfolk is very content to chill on his dog bed for a good part of the day. Likewise, his cozy bed is where you will find him sleeping soundly through the night. Although not exactly thrilled at the prospect of putting his leash on, and seemingly fearful of the outdoors, once Norfolk is out and about, this little bugger thoroughly enjoys himself. Norfolk has exemplary leash manners, he enjoys the exercise, and with each breath of fresh air he takes in, you can see a sense of calmness wash over him.
With time, patience, and oodles of love, this sweet boy’s true personality will continue to take shape, grow, and flourish. If you show him what true caring and kindness is all about, Norfolk will undoubtedly give you his heart, his soul, and his everlasting love. Who knows what Norfolk’s first chapter was like…but wouldn’t it be great for the remainder of his book to read like a beautiful fairytale with a happy ending? If you are up for the challenge, Norfolk is ready to go home with you.
Due to Norfolk's timidness we believe he would do best in a suburban setting.

PupStarz Rescue is an animal welfare group committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs and cats in public shelters at high risk of euthanasia, as well as those in danger of abuse. We are committed to rescuing as many animals as possible, saving over 2,600 dogs and cats since 2015.
PupStarz Rescue is a foster-based rescue, relying on fosters to open their homes and lives to our Animals. Animals in our care receive proper medical care, including alteration, vaccinations, and microchipping.
Following a thorough screening, our animals are placed in loving, responsible, committed forever homes. PupStarz Rescue ensures that adoptions are an appropriate match for both the animal and their new family by educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a furry companion into their lives.
We are committed to the welfare of our "Starz" beyond the adoption process. We maintain open communication with our adopters to ensure a smooth transition, and offer additional support such as positive training techniques.
Founded in 2015, PupStarz Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3, no-kill, animal rescue organization.
