My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm Allegra, the independent kitty who’s always on the purr-owl! I’m the most self-sufficient of my litter—no clingy cat-titude here. My favorite hobby? Catching flies—or at least giving them a good chase before they escape my claws of doom. I’m also a pro at playing with my siblings; after all, a little friendly competition never hurt anyone, right?  I might not be the biggest fan of lap time, but don’t be fooled—I still enjoy a good petting session when I’m not busy stalking my next target or wrestling with my brothers and sisters. Once I’ve had my fill of fun, you can usually find me curled up at the foot of the bed, keeping the spot nice and warm. It’s the purrfect place for some "me-time" after a day of play. So, if you’re in need of a cat who’s low on the cling but high on the fun, I’m the one for you! I’ll keep the flies on their toes, your bed toasty, and your heart full of purrs—just don’t expect me to be glued to your lap. I’ve got too many adventures to go on!

Go meet their pets

We will be holding adoption event days with PetSmart on Ft Jackson Blvd and Two Notch Rd as well as PetSense on Garners Ferry Rd. These are partnerships that we've initiated and that have been greeted with open arms by these great organizations. MUCH More to Come!

More about this rescue

At Cat Around Town Project, we believe that by spaying and neutering as many stray and colony cats as possible, we are proactively controlling overpopulation at its source. All kittens and any cats that are adoptable are removed from the colonies and adopted to suitable homes. One day, when the supply meets the demand, there will be a home waiting for every kitten in our community. .
