You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. The adorable HINGE is now searching for his forever home. Please read his post carefully before you decide to apply for him.
Siberian Husky
DOB: July 17, 22
Approx 30lbs
Vaccinated
Crate trained
Housetrained
Neutering and microchip included in his adoption fee
What’s required for a potential adopter:
Husky experienced owners
A large fenced yard
No children under the age of 12
An active family that can give him the walks and hikes he needs
An owner who’s prepared to pay and commit to extensive training for him
HINGE spent two weeks wearing a cone due to deciding to snack on a scarf and requiring emergency surgery to remove it. He was surrendered by his owners and taken into our rescue so he could have the surgery he needed to remove the scarf. By taking him into rescue we took on the expense of paying for this much needed surgery and to save him from being euthanized. He ended up with stitches in his intestines and 17 staples along his stomach. He’s doing great now and you’d never know he had the surgery and almost died.
Prior to HINGE eating the scarf, he chowed down on a pair of socks and also foam from inside of a couch so this guy has to be constantly watched. He can only have super strong toys so he doesn’t chew them up and eat them. He has shown resource guarding a couple of times when a squeaky toy has been taken away from him so this is something he’ll need training to stop doing.
HINGE is great in his crate and goes to bed at 9pm until about 7am and he’s never been up in the night. He will even go in his crate during the day all by himself to just chill out. For safety reasons he has NO blanket in there and NO stuffie or toy of any kind and he’s also fed in his crate.
HINGE loves people and is super friendly and sweet. He’s been around children but we feel it’s not safe for him to live with them due to the toys and clothing they leave scattered around and which he’ll try and eat. He loves dogs but he does like to get in their face so he may not be suitable for all dogs, all he wants to do though is be their friend. He’s very talkative and loves to get your attention by Husky talking to you. He’s fully housetrained and has never had an accident in his foster home.
HINGE loves to go on walks and does pretty well on his leash. He’s very curious and wants to investigate everything he see’s. You’ll have to watch that he doesn’t go after garbage along the way as chances are he’ll try and eat it. He also loves going on car rides especially when they end up at the lake for a walk
Please DO NOT apply for HINGE if you can’t invest the time, energy and resources needed so this boy can live a safe and happy life.
