My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I’m Tink, and well, I’m a bit of a scaredy cat. Life was rough on the streets before I got rescued; people were mean to me and food was scarce. Because of this, I’m really nervous around new people. I need someone kind & patient, who understands that I need a little space at first some time to relax and get to know you. But once I warm up to you, boy I’ll love you so much! I spend most of my time with my human foster sister, and we’re two peas in a pod. I follow her everywhere and she gives me pets and snuggles all the time. I also have a bunch of foster brothers and sisters, both dogs and cats, and I get along just fine with all of them. I’m usually around a tiny little kitten, she can be pretty annoying but she’s fun to play with, too. The only thing I don’t like is when they get near me when I’m trying to eat, or get too close to my food. I never quite learned how to share, because I grew up not knowing when I’d eat again. Other than that, I get along with everyone just great. What do you say, will you take a chance on a scaredy cat like me?

My adoption fee is $250 locally in Houston, TX. I am up to date on shots, spayed, microchipped and currently undergoing fast-kill heartworm treatment. Fill out an app at: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=SQYPSGVQ

Additional adoption info

With an approved application, applicants are considered for the pet they have applied for. Our goal is to make the best match for both the adopting family and the pet. Applications are NOT considered on a first come first served basis. Following an initial meet and great, potential adopters must pass a home inspection and sleepovers are strongly encouraged to ensure a perfect fit. Upon approval, the adoptive family is required to pay a fee and sign an adoption agreement. Fees are $200 for a puppy under a year and $150 for adults and include spay/neuter, current vaccines, microchip and many wonderful years of companionship.
