SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Tucker is a lovely fellow! Not only is he adorable, but he is super sweet and kind to both people and other small dogs. This little fellow came to us recently from an eastern NC shelter that was overcrowded, and was scheduled to be euthanized. We are grateful to have the opportunity to change his outcome and find him a perfect family! Fully grown at just under 15 pounds, he is a perfect size for most homes! Tucker is in good health, neutered, microchipped, and is completing his vaccination protocol. This perfect dog deserves a perfect home! So we are seeking a home with an active adopter who has the ability to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with this amazing dog! A home without small children or larger pets and with a fenced, secure yard will give Tucker the room to run and play safely.
Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of Tucker as well as our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family to meet Tucker at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting him and determining that he matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner. More information on our website at www.carerva.com.
