Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Mabel! Mabel was surrendered to us because her previous owners could not adequately meet her needs. Mabel is a lop bunny who had fur that needs to be properly groomed in order to avoid painful matting. Unfortunately, her previous owners were not able to keep her appropriately groomed, so Mabel had to be given an extremely long-overdue haircut when she first arrived. We were not aware of how bad the fur matting was on Mabel until we actually got her into the rescue, but it was so apparent that she was extremely uncomfortable because of how extreme the matting on her fur was. We were actually told that Mabel had to be sedated at the vet previously in order to have her fur trimmed, but we did not have to do that here. In fact, she seemed extremely grateful that we were getting her fur cut down to a point where she could finally be comfortable.
Mabel will need an experienced bunny owner who can be patient with her as she adjusts to her new environment and can maintain the proper grooming schedule that she needs.
