My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Coal and his littermates joined POUNCE from our Dalke colony after being born to a feral mama. They quickly became social with humans and the rest is history!

Coal is a great mix of independent and friendly. He loves affection but is equally happy playing with strings, ball toys, and other cats. Coal is a bit on the shy side and would likely do best in a quieter home with another outgoing cat or kitten to ease his mind. All of Coal's siblings were adopted as young kittens but poor Coal is still on the hunt for his perfect fit. He has an estimated birthdate of 5/18/24.

Coal comes neutered, dewormed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped (including registration). His adoption fee is $65 alone, or $100 for him and a friend!

‍ We do require either adopting a pair, or having another cat in the home for the sake of the kittens. Coal currently lives in foster with Charlie, Jalapeño, Darjeeling, & Lulu. Please take this into consideration before applying! ‍

How it works-

If you are interested in adopting with us, the first step is an application. We will call two personal references and a veterinary reference (if applicable). The next step is a home check which can be done via sending in a video, or at the time we bring the animal over for a meet and greet.

We do not have a facility or hours of operation. To meet available cats or kittens, the first step is to submit an adoption application. Once approved, a meet and greet can be arranged!

More about this rescue

The POUNCE Alliance is a federally licensed 501c3 non profit, feline focused, foster based animal rescue. We heavily focus on TNR (trap-neuter-return) of feral cat colonies to minimize the number of felines born outdoors without proper resources to live and thrive. Thousands of cats are born outdoors every year in our community and the focus of POUNCE is to combat the issue with spay/neuter, vaccinations, and medical treatment. With TNR comes many found kittens, tame cats, and sickly community cats who we cannot ethically return back to their home. This is why POUNCE also has a foster and adoption program for adoptable and "hospice" cases who are either tame or are too fragile to return to the outdoors.
