My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buddy is officially available for pre adoption!!

Who remembers our friend Buddy who wandered into a community members garage in Post Falls during our massive cold snap?!

Our boy is finally healthy after having a severe upper respiratory infection and is ready to begin the search for his forever human(s)!

Buddy is a young adult, probably somewhere around three years old. He has been the king of his finder turned foster parent’s garage for the past month and a half and is just sweet as pie!

He is super social with humans and just wants all the love there is to give! Unfortunately the resident animals in his foster home don’t like him, so we don’t have a super great idea how he does with other animals. We think he would do fine with other animals that give him space though. He had no reaction to the cats in the home, was just scared of the big dogs. He isn’t a fan of being held but would love to snuggle up in a lap or cuddle!

Buddy is a social butterfly and is so ready for a home of his very own!

Buddy will come neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and deworming. He is negative for feline aids and leukemia. His adoption fee is $60.

Buddy will be neutered on March 13th and then will be ready for his forever home!

Transport is available to approved adopters throughout the PNW!

If you can’t adopt, please share to help Buddy find his perfect home!

Additional adoption info

How it works-

If you are interested in adopting with us, the first step is an application. We will call two personal references and a veterinary reference (if applicable). The next step is a home check which can be done via sending in a video, or at the time we bring the animal over for a meet and greet.

Go meet their pets

We do not have a facility or hours of operation. To meet available cats or kittens, the first step is to submit an adoption application. Once approved, a meet and greet can be arranged!

More about this rescue

The POUNCE Alliance is a federally licensed 501c3 non profit, feline focused, foster based animal rescue. We heavily focus on TNR (trap-neuter-return) of feral cat colonies to minimize the number of felines born outdoors without proper resources to live and thrive. Thousands of cats are born outdoors every year in our community and the focus of POUNCE is to combat the issue with spay/neuter, vaccinations, and medical treatment. With TNR comes many found kittens, tame cats, and sickly community cats who we cannot ethically return back to their home. This is why POUNCE also has a foster and adoption program for adoptable and "hospice" cases who are either tame or are too fragile to return to the outdoors.
