Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Isopod!
This cutie pie arrived at HSoP as a stray and was unfortunately never claimed by an owner. We estimate him to be around 4 months old, so he certainly has a lot of growing left to do! As some type of lab mix, Isopod has lots of energy to burn and would appreciate an active owner or a secure outdoor area where he can run to his heart's content.
For being such a young guy, Isopod is quite smart! He knows how to sit on command, and even knows how to play fetch (yes, including the part where he brings the ball back!). He's very happy to please but also has a healthy curiosity about things that can distract from his human friends at times. Isopod enjoys getting to explore new places but does not seem familiar with being on a leash.
Being the adorable puppy that he is, Isopod will require a fair amount of training to ensure he's happy, healthy, and on his best behavior as he continues to grow. The ideal home for Isopod will include owners with lots of time to spend by his side, with the patience to help him learn at his own pace.
Since he arrived as a stray, we aren't sure how Isopod would behave around cats or dogs in his future home. We require all adoptable dogs to meet any canines in the home prior to leaving the shelter, and offer a seven-day foster period with each adoption to help ensure a good fit.
Interested in getting to know Isopod? We aren't surprised! Stop by HSoP between 2:00-5:00pm Monday through Saturday to see if he's a match for you. We're located at 2019 E White Ave Moscow, ID 83843. Isopod's adoption fee is $135. He will be neutered, current on vaccines, and microchipped with his new owner's information by the time he leaves.
